I haven't found it yet.

I often use lure and live-bait alternatively with the same rod.

It's all about the action of the rod. Most times when I'm fishing with bait, I want a moderate to soft action. If I'm fishing a "feel" type lure (jigs and/or soft plastics), I want a fast action. If I'm fishing a lure with a lot of hooks (crankbaits and topwaters) or any other lure that I want keep moving and not snatch the lure from the fish on the hookset, I go with a moderate to soft action rod. Just my 2cents

Exactly! If you want to catch one of these you may need a different rod.

I think the OP is talking catching similar size fish on the the same rod vs. similar powered rods with an action suited for live bait vs. an action suited for artificial lures.

They're all the same to me.Though I don't use lures often. What do I know?
