Did anybody else fish amistad this weekend? I am going down there this friday thru sunday and would appreciate all the help I can get.

jason , the fish are in 20 ft in the grass. we are getting our arms ripped off down on the mexican side at 24. w-melon candy jigs and t-rigged pumpkin worms .

You are only allowed to fish out at Ft. Phantom lake on thursday nights!!!!! That water down at Amistad is too clear for ya!!! LOL

Tebam11 who are you lol, I would love to see some of the big boys from amistad try their luck in the the big fort mud hole.We were down there for the seguin open and another tourney on sunday.

Tom I am fishing the Permian S.I.T. Are you?
I am leaving Wed. morning. You know I spent many a hour playing softball in that old Olney field back in the 70's & 80's. Back then it was the Pratt boys, Casteel, Miller etc. That played out of Olney. Oh yeah I played a few rounds of golf in that pasture south of town too. LOL

Tom we did just good enough to not cash a check.We really caught alot of fish.Saturday was really tough all small fish...but sunday we found a seven and several fives fours and threes.The Jig bite really turned on sunday and made the trip worth while.I fished with a buddy of mine,the father in law doesn't like to drive that far,but I would rather get my butt kicked down there than win one here any day.Im not fishing the S.I.T. but cant wait to get back down there soon.

Had an older brother same age as those pratt boys and I actually played with casteel and miller right after I graduated in 85.R. Pratt was a big ole boy!!!
