Headed to Fork for four days in the morning. Should have some pics and video when I get back. This will be the first trip in my Coosa (other than a few short day trips).

Anyone been out there recently?? Little Caney, one of the Mustangs or Big Caney? What do y'all think? I'll try and get some nightly reports up.

A report on those three would be nice wink.

Monday- Got on the water around 9:00. Put in on the northwest end of 154 and paddled south. I fished mostly the first point south of the bridge on the west side of Caney. I have never seen Fork as slick in April as it was today.

I caught 10 fish up to 6 pounds. Mostly on a green pumpkin centipede split shot rig. I had a few good grabs on a 4 inch swim bait but they wouldnt eat it. The water was 68-75 and was a little stained. All fish I caught were in around 5-8 feet of water.

More to come. Going to Dale tomorrow.....

Tuesday---One word...TOUGH!! Everyone we talked to had a rough day today...of course the guy in the room next to us said he caught 50...I'm calling BS.

Ended up with 17 between the two of us. I didn't catch my first fish until after noon. Most came on a green pumpkin centipede on the old split shot rig. The fish were VERY finicky. You really had to soak the worm and when the fish did bite, you would just feel pressure and then your line would move off.

Fished Dale Creek this morning. That water was very stained. We moved to Little Caney after a burger at Tiffany's. The water there looked good. There is a ton of new cover to fish and the fish are there. We caught our fish today between 3 feet all the way down to 15 feet.

Not sure where we're going tomorrow but I'll have an update.

How did you access Dale Creek?

Well....I tried to put in at the back end off the bridge but it was a little too froggy...need about two more feet of water. So we drove into the Dale Creek estates until I found someone who looked friendly and sweet talked them into letting us use the private ramp.
