The weather was awesome. My Mom is scared to death of the water, but I got her to go fishing with me for the very first time. I really didnt get a chance to fish much due to the fact that I was either baiting lines, removing fish, taking pictures or retying hooks. But thats okay, there getting on up there in age and Ill do what ever it takes to get them on the water and catch some fish. I know they had a good time, so this fishing trip was a huge success.
I guess I dont have what it takes to fish with live bait because I couldnt hardly get bit like I thought I should, therefore I would pick up my rod rigged with a T/R plastic from time to time and I would hook up with some decent fish. Plastic worms is the way to go my friend. I hate fishing with live bait. But this trip really was not about me at all, it was all about them catching some fish. In six hours on the water, Im guessing that they put somewhere around twenty fish in the boat. They did most of the catching, and that is the way I had intended for this trip to go, so it went well. I know this post may not look to impressive to most folks who may read it, but it means the world to me. I cant wait for them to call me and ask when are we going fishing again.
My step Dad hooked up with a good fish.

This is what he caught.

Mom hooked up with her first fish.

This is it still in the water.

I got it unhooked and now its photo time.

Mom got herself a pretty good one here.

Al got himself a decent fish as well. His largest catch was a 3.1 Lb. bass.

Al got his pole bent good several times. They had a blast pulling these fish in.

At least he tried to unhook a fish. If I had to guess, I would say that I was busy taking one off my Moms pole, and taking a picture of her fish since I had the camera in my hand when he landed his catch.
