We are going to Lake Ivie next week to look for cats. We want to Rod and Reel fish. Just curious what areas we need to target. I know rip-rap is a good area, but Ivie doesnt' have an rip rap dam or bridges. It does have rocky bluffs and rock shore line. What depth should we stay in as well?
Just need some direction. I am new to catfishing.

I've been catching them at Hubbard Creek in 3 ft or less up in the back water areas.

Dido on the 3 foot and less in the back of the lakes. I caught all my trophy fish in 3 foot of water and lots of blues 15 pounds and under in 1.5 to 3 foot never caught one over 30 pounds in the past couple days in deeper water than 4 foot or shallower than 2 foot.
