I'm looking for a Computer Program that will allow me to download Waypoints from my Lowrance Units and manipulate them on my laptop. I had a Hot-Maps Program that I bought for $19.95, but didn't cover Cedar Creek. Plus I had it on my old computer that got fryed, and couldn't get Hot-Maps to re-issue the ability to load it on my new laptop, without buying a new program. So, I don't want to re-buy a program for them again. I'm really looking for something that will cover ALL the lake in Texas or more, but at least Texas.
I would like to to import Waypoints, manipulate information, and export back to Lowrance Units. Should be able to store my information in case the Lowrance Units have a problem. This would allow me to have a back up so I won't lose my Waypoints, Routes, & Trails. I would like to be able to identify depths on a particular Waypoint, so I can produce a certain depth of a waypoint for certain times of year. Also the map needs to identify lakes, creek names, and other things to mark lakes.
I've been reading about a few that were in the $100 price range, just wondered if anyone has a program they would recommend.

I have navionics south and it comes with a years download and a computer app with contains all of the maps on the card. The bigest problem i have is you must do everything on a seperate SD card you cannot move info on or off of the navionics card. Other wise you could copy and sell it quite cheep.so you must save the info on your plotter then remove the navionics card and place your own sd card in the plotter save the info to that card and transfer from there to your computer program. Did i mention this is all how it is supposed to work, i havent acomplished said task. I have saved plotting routes on a card from the computer and tranfered it to my plotter then it overlays onto the navionics map. but it is all difficult for me to get done on a repeatable basis. The card cost is around $150. tax and all and i believe it supplies you with the tools to do what you want. I just cant make it worth my time to do it. Im done now!
Catch and release into the grease!

I use one called map crete... I think that is the right name. But, mine is old and so is my version of map in my unit. And I paid about $100 for the program. It came with it's own SD drive that writes to the SD card, which is the only way you can put your info on the SD card and you can only write to 2 SD cards which it registers the 1st time you use them. Don't know if it is still made in upgraded versions or not. Might be something better now.

Nevermind Keith. It's a discontinued product. The new version of Hot Maps Premium does have Cedar Creek and it's $150 from Navionics Store. It has the free PC app and updates for 1 year as well.

You get the Navionics PC app free if you purchase a Navionics chart for your plotter, however if you do not have a plotter then you can purchase the NAvionics PC app for $49.99 on the Navionics web site in the web store. You will get the same coverage and detail as the chart for the plotter and will be able to manipulate waypoints as you wish.
Go to navionics.com and click on web store.

Go to navionics.com and click on web store. &, if you just buy the PC app, you get 5 license's so you could load it on that laptop you store at my house.

I bought something a few years ago that I never used and I can't even remember what it was. Had a card reader and software. I'll check it out and let you know.

Bet it is the same thing I have...Map Create. But that is more expensive than the program posted here they say he can get for $49.99 from Navionics.
