The water is slowly inching up due to the local rains. The Rio was on a rise today up stream around Dryden, there has been some heavy rains between here and Big Bend the past few days, that water should reach the lake unlike the El Paso flood water.
The water temps are low to mid 80's the grass is growing well in places and has backed off some in other areas due to windy weather that has off colored the water.
The droppin' bite has slowed a bit, still catching the right sized ones but the numbers have backed off. (instead of 10 bags of beavers a day its 5 bags) It might just be the moon phase or the lack of release from the dam or both.
Just going down the bank fishing a ten inch Tx. rigged worm has been as good as anything. Look for areas that have trees in 5 to 15 feet mostly on flats and in bays. This morning we had 60 by 10:30 with this pattern.
Thanks,
Ray Hanselman
