I'm not getting very much feedback in the parts section here so thought I would ask here.
Have any of you had a rotor that doesn't want to come off? I've nailed this sucker with a big hammer with out it budging. Just looking for ideas to get this thing off before this weekend comes around.

Are you sure it is a slip on? If it is there should be a couple of holes in the flat part of it with threads in them. Find the right size bolt and screw them in it and it should come loose. Post a picture of it up close and I can tell you for sure or not.

Make sure pressure on pads is released, ....open bleeder,......leave open. Make sure any retaining bolts removed.........spray wd 40 all over the thing, including pads, which may be stuck as well...........
.... begin hammer coaxing with various size hammers ..... increase the force of blows and size of hammer until problem is over,..........THE END........
Thats for caliper ! ! the rotor ? ? ,.......well,..............same thing...... LOL

Make sure they are slip on. See if there are threaded holes in the hub mounting surface, if there are just screw a bolt in and hopefully it releases. When those threads strip or there are non. Use wd 40 and let sit for 30 min to an hour. Put a lug nut on just a few threads (so rotor doesn't fly off) and hit the back side of the rotor with a dead blow(where the inside pad would sit).
Sometimes it takes considerable force so its easiest to turn the wheel out to get a better swing. Don't use a metal hammer, it'll damage the rotor.

Spray penetrating oil such as PB-BLASTER in a spray can from oriley parts store. Follow the instruction on the can! Spray on the attaching area and vibrate with mallet to losen.
One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!
