Just put everything up other than about six scrape rods rigged with 1 1/2 oz Tx rigged beavers and 1 1/2 jigs don't forget the 80 lb braid. Thats right the Droppin' bite is on,my favorite way to catch'em. This year it has started out easy because the grass is shallow compared to years past. Most of the outside edge is in 20 to 22, instead of 28 to 30 feet. You really don't need to use your electronics because most of the edge is visible. But I have a few grass lines that aren't!!! The lake is slowly going down, which is fine with me I like it about 30 feet low where there is more fishable water and the wind doesn't play a factor as to where you might fish. The chamber of commerce doesn't see it my way. Anyway its about 15 feet low water temp low to mid eighties. There are still several ways to catch them top, senkos, and cranks. But the droppin' is where I will be. 1 1/2 Tru-Tungsten colored weights Tx rigged to a Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver in an assortment of colors also Oldham's Jigs in the 1 1/2 and 1 1/4 oz trailed with a smallie beaver. I have gone through 80 bags of beavers in two weeks, thats about 800 if my math is correct. If you haven't fished this way you need to!!!
Thanks, Ray Hanselman

Well I was down there sunday and monday and caught good fish. Most of our quanity came from grass flats in Box Canyon. Did not get on the topwater bite that everyone has been talking about but caught fish. Sunday any watermelon red plastic was doing the trick and monday watermelon seed or Green pumkin. Most fish came out of less than 17ft of water. The only bad part of the trip was the wind but what can you do.
