If this guy only knew how many people take pictures and talk about him on Fork....he could sell autographs! I bet I heard 15 people talking about him yesterday...then I spotted ladderman at dollar general in Yantis. I waited around to speak with him...but he never came out. Seriously, if anyone knows this guy can anyone get him to post pics of how he ties down his ladder? I know a few guys that are trying to replicate his ladder for bedfishing but can't get it secured. I would have gotten closer to take pics, but I didn't want anyone to think I was going through his boat.

I think he needs to invest in LASIK or a pair of new glasses.

OSHA would not approve. No fall device and his feet would be 4 feet or better above ground/water.

I would suspect it being bolted to the deck, with some quick release latches. Custom built ladder for sure, at least the top half. Looks like he stands on the middle platform with the top of the ladder acting as railing. Also has a slight extension on the troling motor handle.
Edit: actully I see barrel bolts and cabel attached to the seat post. THats how it is mounted. Look closley at the picture you can see them. Pretty smart!

I am just kind of guessing from the picture, but it looks to me like he has used a guy wire with two turn buckles attached to the a cut off modified pedastal pole. I bet he has the legs attached in some way as well.

Cameron, I ran into this guy in Eugenes Ditch while at Fork 2 weeks ago. I overheard him say he had fished Fork regularly for the last 15 years. Looked like his wife was sitting in a seat reading a book while he sight fished. He seemed like a nice guy.

Which is more dangerous? Lol.
"Ladderman's" boat or the guy some of us saw last summer with an enclosed cabin on his 19 footer and a A/C window unit. With no windows either.
I would like to see someone up on that ladder in 3 - 4 foot rollers. Lol, now that would be fishing.

She is probably waiting for him to fall off the ladder to say "Told you that was a bad idea".
