What's your favorite set up for wacky worm fishing. Line, hooks, weights( if any ) color and brand of worm. Thanks

Mine is a watermelon red "senko" style bait with the tail dipped in chartreuse. for the hook I really like these, http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Eagle_Claw_Weedless_Hook_Red_5pk/descpage-ECWHR.html, line depends but usually 17lb fluro. If it's calm outside I usually do weightless but if it's a little windy I'll lightly pinch a split shot weight about 8-10 inches up from the hook. hope this helps.

Spinning rod with 15# braid with a leader or 15# mono or flouro. Then I like wave worms tiki sticks in the watermelon red color on either a ewg gamagatsu 1/8 weight 3/0 hook(when its windy) or on a 2/0 ewg hook when its calm.

Try Bayou Tackles 1/8 oz weighted wacky wedge hook with weed guard. 98% hook up ratio. Great hook.

1/8 or 1/16 owner wacky jig heads on 12# fluoro. I set this up on a 6'7" medium heavy falcon buccoo with an Abu Garcia revo Mgx reel. I usually use senko style baits with a wacky o ring slipped over the worm, o rings allow the worm to catch more than one fish and prevent it from coming off during a vast which will cause some awful backlash. As far as color that depends on conditions of the lake, but I typically use either shad colored worms, watermelon seed/red/purple/candy, and black dipped in chartreuse. Hope this helps!

Where do you get these o-rings? Have gone through a 25pack and 5 8packs in the last 2trips out to the lake. Stores down here cant keep up with how fast these worms were tearing up on me.

I use a Gamakatsu Octopus hooks in 2/0 for finesse worms and 3/0 for Trick worms. Zoom brand (color makes no difference, I just use colors with lots of flakes in them so they are soft), Medium heavy spinning rods, 40# Daiwa Samurai braid in the yellow color. 20# XPS fluorocarbon leader most of the time.
1/4" electrical heat shrink tubing.
The hooks and rigging method can be used anywhere for any size bass. The worm color is just for photo clairty.

For Senkos, a similar set up but with baitcasting gear and an added braided stainless steel weedguard, 4/0 Octopus hook and 3/8" electrical heat shrink tubing.

5-0 weedless sickle hook, red O-ring, usually a nail, 30# braid with a 15# Inviz-X leader, 7' medium fast casting rod, Chronarch Mg50.

Gary Yamamoto 5" Senko (baby bass is one of my favorite colors), on a Gamakatsu finesse hook with weedguard, no weight, 30# PowerPro braid, and use the O-wacky Tool to put on an o-ring that you hook through. I have increased my hookups tremendously by taking my pliers and off setting the angle of the hook point slightly, so that it is not in a straight line with the hook shank. Not to start any arguments, but IMO the Yamamoto Senko's seem to have more action. Try other brands side by side in clear water and you can see the action difference. Throw it, count it 5 seconds on a tight line, watching for any line movement to the side, set the hook if so. If not, give a couple of reels, wait another 5 second count and repeat. You gotta be a line watcher. Good luck.
