Don't run to close to the timber, watch other boats before you just take off.

There is a tournament out there on Saturday....watch yourself at first light or you might get ran over.

Barricaded cove I would guess is Monticello Cove. This is a good cove to fish. I did well in Millionairs cove a week ago on soft plastics (Senko's, baby brush hogs and finess wacky worms). Fished the Senko's weightless and wacky style. Watermelon, Watermelon Red and Watermelon Candy. Also caught some on crankbaits at the mouth of the cove on a Bomber 4A in Chartruse with black back.

Where are you launching from? What time will you be on the water? Send me a PM and I'll help you out. I have a weekend place on the lake and will be there this weekend.

Look for post spawn pattern. Today was brutal. Caught several fish but all males. A few were still on beds, and more guarding fry. I never saw or caught a female all day. I fished a club tourney today and there were only 2 double digit stringers. I think they have post partum depression.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Launch boat, put down trolling motor and turn to 60%, start throwing buzzbait parallel to the bank in 2-3 of water. When the sun gets up around 10am. Load boat and go home
