I have a 93 Chevy 1500 v6. The problem started with a chugging like the transmission was slipping. Tranny is ok. Then I found a bad plug wire. Replaced all wires. Here's where it gets weird. Truck ran fine for 2 days. Filled truck up with gas and problem got worse. Constant chugging. Now when I get to 3/8 of a tank the truck runs perfect. Fill it up and runs horrible. What's my problem?

My 96 went through a couple of fuel sending units. The wires melted inside the tank on both of them. Still don't know why it didn't explode.

Could be the intank fuel pump or fuel filter. Try removing the gas cap and see if that does anything when tank is full, if so the tank vent system may be plugged. You should have at least 35 pounds of fuel pressure. b
