I was out catfishing at a small local lake today and I have caught tons of crappie in my cast net out there (always throw them back). Anyways, I decided to hook up one of my rods with a minnow and a bobber and see how I could do. Caught about 6, only 3 big enough to keep, but it was a blast! The 3 I kept were about 13-15 inches. It was an awesome way to kill time while I was waiting for the catfish to bite (never did). This was a good first experience with crappie though. Looking forward to doing it again soon!
Thanks, Olen

Yep you need to go back and catch some more. Nothing better than seeing your bobber go under.

Yeah, I have always heard they are the cleanest tasting fish. And they fought really good for not being really big fish. Always a blast when there is a fight!
Thanks, Olen

You should try it without a bobber with a jigging pole in your hand. The thump is amazing and will get you hooked on crappie fishing.
