Ok, lets start the Healthy Debate. What is the best fishing lake in Texas, in terms of numbers and quality. Not for just one species but all species. Look at it this way, if you could only fish one lake the rest of your life what lake would that be. You would get tired chasing just one species at the same place over and over. So you need multi species. I know everybody will be semi biased, but this for fun. I will start it and say TWAKONI. Closely beating out Possum Kingdom from back in the day.
PS Also put why you chose your lake. For me 2 acres of fish blowing up the surface in the morning, a mess of catfish filets, limit of crappie, and decent bass fishing, it beats all lakes I have fished. And I would never get bored. Let the debate begin, remember think about all species from Stripers to Bluegill, from Flathead to Smallmouth. Whats your best fishing lake, not just favorite. I will tally up the votes in the end.

I would have to say lake summerville. Lake Summerville has different variety of fish, it has largemouth bass, a lot of catfish, striped bass, and som crappie to. It's also not real big so wouldn't spend to much money on gas running the lake. Many people proably won't agree with me but that's my opinion.
Why live in the city, where you have to call 911 for a problem, where I live i am 911- Phill Robertson.

I think I would have to pick lake Bob Sandlin. I chose this lake because it has a lot of crappie, bass, and catfish. I have been fishing this lake since I was about 5 and have always done well. Another reason I choose this lake is because it's about 4 miles from my house. Also a good duck hunting lake

Lake Amistad, enough said. If you don't know why, you've never been or fished there.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

I would have vote Choke Canyon overall
It has a very healthy catfish population Its well known for some big bass The crappie and white bass at times can be on fire.

Richland Chambers for me. It has amazing white bass, hybrids, crappie and GIANT blue cats. And, the bass fishing normally takes 30lbs to win a amateur tournament. I can't think of a more well rounded lake. Tight Lines Mitch "Rooster" Parker

Fork. I only get up there once or twice a year and just LOVE it. The structure, the scenery, the great fish. That's the lake that just "does it" for me.
