Had Dwight Mundevlu and his three grandsons for a trip today. started off real slow hads 1 fish in the first hour and a half. Then I got it thru my thick head that the pattern had completly changed. went to a deep water hump and it was on. Then it got a little crowded so I went to another deep water hump till it got too crowded. Went to a hump that I catch fish on twice a year and boy were they there. Caught a 120 more fish and an hour and had a Game Warden check during that time.Ended up with 351 all caught on ole ugly slabs and flies. Good to meet marine 2/3 and lip rip was racking them. The screen shot was the last hump I fished. All fish released to fight another day. A real fun group to fish with . The trash talking got brutal at times. Got openings next week if you want to get in on some unbelivable action give me a call. Johnny

Awesome Johnny! The last 2 days were the best I've had this year as well. I hope it lasts until my next days off.

Great catch today. We are headed out for the weekend tomorrow. We launch at West Bay and are from the slough by the old Druxman camp/ Bates. The "Mid lake humps" ya'll keep talking about are where basically? In the power plant area? Anyway, we will go hunt them. New to my electronics and lots to learn. I'm in a white Kenner CC and will try and figure out which rig you are. Obviously you are "The Man" on EM. See ya'.

Today was incredible! I ended up with 131 by my Dang self. They were stacked on stacks. Good to see Johnny and Levy out again today. Another boat full of smiles. See you tomorrow.

The mid lake humps we speak of mean a hump out in the lake as opposed to a point or a slope. Right now every hump and slope you find in the lake look for fish because there a lot of them holding fish. Every one wants to know the place and that is the wrong way to look for fish because where they are today they may be gone tomorrow. You have to find the fish today not where they were yesterday. For example everyone was slaying them on a place called the mud flats for 10 days. I searched for an hour and half on the mud flats and we had one fish in the boat. Pattern had totally changed.Wind had changed from the south to the north and that meant the wind was blowing shad in a differnt direction so the fish where in a totally different place. I am not evading the question but there is no magic place you have to find them today. Johnny

That helps me. We will see if we can find them on the screen. Thanks for your help. You and several others are always honest and helpful in sharing your knowledge. It is appreciated.

Yep, I killed them on the flats Tuesday and had to hunt hard there Wednesday to get a couple hand fulls so we picked up and went to some mid lake humps and found them stacked. Then today Johnny found them some where totally diffrent. They aren't hard to find just move if you aint gettin a bite.

I can't tell you how many times I have fished two days in a row and caught fish in completely different ways. Look for underwater hills on the map and use electronics to check all around. They can be on top or on the slopes of a hump. If you see a blue/white skeeter fish/ski fri. and sat. Stop by and say hi. I don't mind the company.
