Lake Monticello
Water Temperature: 85
Water Clarity: 3’
On Monday, I had the pleasure of fishing my first trip of the Fall on Lake Monticello. What a great time repeat customer Ronnie McGranahan and I had, we caught 39 bass up to 7lbs. The lake is only 1’ low and is in great shape! I have been on a very good bite on Monticello for quite a while now. Today was the proof. We caught our fish on pop’rs, Lockhart chartreuse spinnerbaits, chrome/blue Rattletraps, wacky rigs and Caronlina-rigged Gene Larew Red Bug french frys. Fishing main lake, secondary points in water 3 to 28 feet of water. I realize that is a wide range of water to be fishing but depending on what we were throwing at the time dictated what depth of water we fished.
