I never really got good at it. Just ask Matthew. Got lucky once and caught a big crappie on CC by accident with him. rolfmao

What kind of retrieve do you guy's & gal's like best when dock shooting?

That's easy, the kind with a 10+ inch crappie on the end of it!! thumb

I've watched many videos on it but have never tried it. Going to CC this weekend and plan on attempting it. Guessing I'll need a pretty floppy pole. Does anyone have a particular pole to recommend that won't quite break the bank? Guess I should try it in the back yard first. No I think I will try it in the front yard and make all the neighbors think I have lost my mind!

actually a stiffer pole will give you good distance, if its too soft, it wont shoot far. I like a soft tip, with medium backbone, around 6.5 feet,. I medium action ugly stick with a closed faces reel will get it done.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
