I'm a rookie crappie fisherman & will be fishing with my bro in law on kayaks. Does any body have any suggestions on where to put in, assuming there is even an open ramp? We will obviously not be able to travel too far paddling & hoping to launch near an area that we can still find the fish.
Thanks

If its Palestine theres a lot of good looking Kayak water at the Kickapoo ramp on 315 s. of Chandler. Beware there are also some bass in there that will take you for a ride in that yak.

What he said, south side of the bridge for the ramp. Shallow water and some stumps and a creek channel not too far out. The old bridge marks the channel.

There's also good kayak water in the Flat Creek area, bridge columns, timber, bridge rip-rap, boat houses etc.

Thanks everybody, that helps a lot. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky & catch enough for a fish fry Saturday night!
