Poney, I was at AH Friday, but we only fished the crappie house. We caught crappie all day but they were deep, about 4-6 feet off the bottom. 7 keepers, the biggest 14", and only 1 female with eggs in the keepers. I think a few more of these 90 degree days will push them up if they aren't already shallow.

Go up the river or Rocky creek, stained water, jig the thickest cedars you can find, up close to the bank (2'-5'). Ease jig down until it disappears from sight and then go about a foot deeper. Don't spend a lot of time in any one spot. Just a few seconds, then pick it up and move it over a few feet into another spot. Males are cruising right now & you'll seldom get more than two out of any single bush, but should get more pretty close. Used white maribou or white twin tail twiddle tails on chartreuse head. A little slow this weekend, but starting to pick up. Getting some quality size keepers, and should be getting better over the next couple of weeks.

Ill try to make it out to Rocky Creek, if the ski boats and big pontoon boats will stay away long for me to make it over. They create some pretty serious waves for my lil bass raider lol.

Last saturday i caught some big 14" to 16" female hoggs in Ince's cove. They were all in about 15 to 18 foot of water. I tried gobbler creek and did not find them in the shallows yet but did find them in the middle of gobbler cove in about 18 foot of water. Hope the water temps stay up this week and with the full moon this friday they should start moving into the shallows for there spawn ...
Feel the bite ,set the hook and bruise a rib ...

There is a restaurant / bait and tackle store across the street from the main gates that has lake maps.
I hope you have a boat, there is not much bank access. There is a crappie house tho. Its deep too, like 50ft or so.
