My mom and i are looking to rent a boat from lynn creek marina and gave no clue what to look for when fishing for white bass and or hybrids. Not looking for anyones honey holes, just for some tips, range of depts, structure.. BTW the boat is a bass boat equiped with a TM and a fish finder..

Not going to find any hybrids in Joe Pool I don't think. White bass, may be able to find them in the creeks. Any one else got any ideas?

Yeah joe pool is pretty straight forward i have only ever seen one hybrid come out of there many years ago but as for whites look for humps one is right across from loyd park boat ramp about a hundred yards off shore goes from 25-27 ft to about 17ft another one called firemans is the best place to start for whites it is near dog head point or the main point that seperates the two main arms of the lake it is on the lynn creek side of the point about 200 yards or so from the point and the water goes from 30-35 ft to about 15-18 ft just look for other boats as well any lake map of jp will show you these spots also use slabs this time of year chartreuse works well or white in my experience and whites like to school anywhere from dog head point to the bridge near lynn creek just key on gulls diving. But firemans is always where i start and sometimes wont leave that spot all day and the best part of the hump is to sit on top of the hump cast your lure towards loyd park in the deep water and bottom bounce it up that side of the hump. Good luck and let me know how you do.

Joe pool 13 incher The way to communicate with the fish is to drop them a line. To argue on a fishing boat is to have de bait.
