Fish lake LBJ.Went out Sunday evening and caught
29 good keepers.All around 11" to 11 1/2".All the
fish are still rather shallow.Found these in 12'of

JIGIN-JANITOR, thanks for the info. I am fishing for bass though, sounds like you were after crappie. Any bass tips?

Check the stumps sticking out of the water. Janitor usually hangs the bass up on them.

Just kidding!

I would fish LBJ this weekend.

Regarding the preveious post: I dunno if they were crappie.... I was on LBJ last Saturday and Sunday fishing for LMB and most of what I found were 11-11.5 inches....Haha.

However, I did manage to boat 4-5 keepers. A friend of mine boated a 4.10lb. Most fish caught over this past weekend were 1-2 lbs. Lots of spotties.

Try Boat docks and toss WR Brush Hogs, Senkos, and Trick worms, or White Spinner baits, or Shad colored Jerk Baits. Early bite is over at 9am close to shore, 2-5ft. Then head to docks and close to deep water rocks 6-10ft

Shut up and fish!

Lake LBJ: Water stained; 78 degrees; 825.89':

Black Bass are good along channel breaklines in 4'-8' using 4" green pumpkin Senkos, 3" plastic swimbaits and, blue/chart. Terminator (www.terminatorlures.com)Tungsten spinnerbaits. 3/16 oz. purple or junebug Terminator titanium jigs tipped w/#23 Uncle Josh pork fished in patches of water willow. Grn/pump. Senkos
rigged wacky style on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com)during the day produce during the day.

The best bite for quality bass is at night. Black Terminator buzzbaits, their short-arm black/red spinnerbait with big Colorado blade and dark topwaters are very good in mainlake stumpfields, points and along the dam.

Crappie are good at night on grubs, crappie jigs and minnows.
