3 fish over 9, biggest 9.6. A buddy caught a 10 out of the back seat.

You will find that you have alot of quality fish in Ray Hubbard with tournments bring in 20+ sacks. The largest I have caught was right at 8lbs. I have caught alot of 5lb and 6lb fish. The river can be alot of fun but, main lake holds alot of quality fish. The one key factor is the wind if the wind blows you will catch fish. I fished on calm days and could not get them to bite but, on windy days I have caught fish on almost every cast. So, the lake can fish like a champ or you will work your tale off to get one bite. pay attention to weather conditions and it will pay off.

Funny question there. I was fishing the same place where the lake record was caught a few years ago and he pulled in as I was pulling out of that area. There went my 15 minutes of fame.

But when I was doing demo's at the BPS tank the year after she was put there), I could usually get her to grab the lure I was using most of the time. One of the guys who works there reminded me (last week) how he used to watch me at the tank and he said I was the only person he ever saw that could always get her attention!

Your most definitely in the right place. Just keep fishing there and eventually it will happen.

By the discharge caught on a black/blue jig and it was freaking cold that day. My dad and I was there that day too. I don't remember BPS Garland being opened yet though. maybe they transported her to Grapevine location.

Too bad you didn't catch her when it mattered, you'd be famous!

I have caught a lot of 7's but nothing to write home about. I struggle staying on quality fish out there. If I knew what I was doing wrong I would fish some tournies out there since it is not far from the house. Maybe one day I will figure it out.
