Went to Cedar Creek on Friday with my hero H20. As always, the dude just put the smack down on me. Fished only docks and did pretty well. While I was hunched over in the boattrying to shoot a jig in a narrow space, the dude was standing tall and side arming jigs with ease. I don’t know how many were caught but we took home 39 of em. Thanks again Anh for the fun trip. I learned a lot as always and it’s always pleasant fishing with someone that loves the sport as much as you do. Can you imagine he actually got a jig under this? Here’s a bucket of em: Oh and on our way out, we found a trailer that was selling some goodies and we bought 15 lbs of the stuff. Crazy Cajun is the name of it and it’s big fat crawfish and good ones at that.

Heck, I don't know. They were just under the docks that had a lot of shade. I think 8-10' in the front of the dock and 2-4' in the back.

Food porn right there Hard to beat crappie and mudbugs
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Lucky over here I guess. Brookshires, not far from my house does them in the parking lot often and sells them mudbugs for $3 a lb, shrimp is $5 a lb and potatoes, corn, sausage is $3 a lb. And, all is spicy and flavorful. Coming up pretty soon too I think, will be so good. I don't like the mudbugs, but love the rest.
Great day fishing, good catch and was a nice day to be on the water.
