Just want to say thank you to those who provided my info on Lake Ray Hubbard. It was very helpful and I had a somewhat decent practice. The storms and wind really messed up my water but no excuses. I finished 15th. My goal was top 10. Disappointed but the lake fished very small. There was a boat about everywhere I went especially marinas and the few coves you have. I do need to give a shout out to Steve at All Star Marine. My steering cable broke on my trolling motor during practice and he fixed it that day and put me ahead of other work. I can't tell you how thankful I was and he delivered top notch service.

I haven't had a chance to watch the clip yet, but congrats on the finish. Hubbard is a tricky little lake. Glad that bankbeater could help you out so quickly!

Fiona is funny. Hubbard can be tough but usually nasty weather brings out the best in the lake. Not this time...

Ray Hubbard is a terrific fishery, and as SoCal mentioned, typically when bad weather is present, Ole Mother Hubbard kicks out some remarkable fishing.
Steve at All-Star is good people as well.

look a the top stories on the left side of the link, nothing but murders and homicides. shows why fishing is so important - its a stress reliever !!!!

Don't get me wrong. I think Ray Hubbard is possibly under-rated as far as Tx fisheries. However, I do feel it would take a long time to really learn that lake. It definitely is not my strengths. I missed having alot of coves and fingers to fish. Finding them in open water is not something I am good at.
The weather was 20-30mph winds and storms. the entire time we were there in practice and then tournament it rained one day and bright and sunny the next with no wind.
No excuses on my part. I suppose I didn't adjust well.

It was great having you guys out! (Oh, and if Lake Lavon comes up as next on the list.. start lobbying.) I do need to give a shout out to Steve at All Star Marine.
