I'm about to be doing a lot of traveling over the next 3 months and already have my travel rig ready to go. My only hangup is, I'll be in 13 different states and want to fish, but may not have time or be near a licensing outfit. I haven't seen any national option yet, so do I just have to fork over 30 dollars every state to be legit?

Each state is different as far as prices, most you can get a 3 day or one week license for just a few bucks.

Pay the piper. It's not that bad. Each state is thier own. I've paid as little as 8 bucks for a week as 8 bucks and as much as 20 bucks depending on the state

Though I never see it actually happening, I've also thought about the idea and convenience of a"national fishing license." As awesome as it would be, I can't even imagine what type of price tag it would carry. I'm sure the pro's would really appreciate it!

just think of an Obama fishing license, cost would be through the roof, at least for us "1 percenters", but he would never give us permission to use it.
i will stick with a state of texas issued license.
