Sunday morning the main creek was high, swift and muddy. Me and a buddy managed two limits of sandies at 13"+. Released about a limit of 10" - 12" and 15 to 20 dink sandies and crappie.
Monday afternoon went again with another friend. We kept two limits of sandies and 20 crappie. The fish are there, you just have to find the retrieve they want until this water clears a little more. wink

Was the tree washed away at the hole or are we going to have to jump it again?

I took my son and we launched a Jon boat with a trolling motor from Marshall Creek Park/Trophy Club Park early Sunday morning. Because of the slow trolling motor and my five year old's attention span, we did not make it up to the Hwy 377 bridge. We didn't catch anything on various jigs. I pulled out a casting net to entertain ourselves with. The casting net came with the used boat when I bought it and I have never used one before. I did manage to catch two shad which was perfect - one for his jig hook and one for mine. I cought a crappie and he snagged up. I noticed his snag was swimming off down stream so with some help, he finally landed a white bass. Due to my inexperience with the casting net, we were not able to catch any more shad and he was ready to move on so we called it a day and got off the water before noon.

I need to get some minnows for the next trip. Does anyone know where to get them at 6:30 in the morning?

That first post of mine was the wrong address. Use the second post. Sorry for the confusion. They are on located at the intersection of 407 and I35 in Lewisville, on the I35 service road on the east side of I35 where it intersects with Hwy 407 (Justin Road)

Any other place to buy minnows? I live in Flower Mound and I35E in Lewisville is the opposite direction that I am headed. Any place in Roanoke along Hwy 377?

Gas station on West Side of 2499 just South of Regions Bank. Just North of Sagebrush. They sell minnows.

Thanks. I will check those places out. My son likes playing with the bait as much as he like fishing. This will double our time on the water.

This might have been answered already somewhere in the post . But is there a decent trail to ride a bike on to the Blue hole?? I would like to take my Uncle out there this weekend . But the walk would be to far.

If you find some place to park and ride in behind the subdivision off 114 that part of the trail is decent. But if you go from 377 it's good for a mile then the bike becomes a pain. My son and I tried it.
