Had Ray and Jacob Johnson on a guide trip on Eagle Mountain. It was a trip as a guide you dream of. Started out and caught a few under birds in 15 ft. of water. That played out went to some slopes and caught a few more . then the boat show left and I felt they were still in the area. Found two more big groups on slopes . Ended up with 229 all caught on ole ugly slabs and flies. They kept 50 for fry. Chartuese and white and Ray did real well with a new gold holographic. He thought it worked well.
What a fun day with a couple of neat guys who were really fun to fish with. Lotz of Eagle Mountain regulars out. David Evertt had a group ,LipRip was wack'em . Darby Byrd and Leonard all were having fun. Had a couple of guys that I had to kick away from my boat four times and they were drifting and they accused me of running over them. Oh well it was still afun and great day on the lake.A picture of one of the great marks on the scope Johnny

My Son and I fished with Johnny today. All I can say is that if you get the chance to fish with this guy do not pass it up. We had a great day for our first on Eagle Mountain and although I will return in my own boat, I will also be fishing with Johnny in the future. He had us on fish most of the day.
Came away with some good looking baits as well.

Had a blast, Thanks Johnny!

I said I was going to be off the water for a few weekends since we are leaving for vacation on Sunday. It seems my boy is going to his grandmas a day early and the wife has some last minute shopping to do.

They say luck is when opportunity meets reality so I guess I am going fishing instead of looking at the TV all day.

I will be solo in a blue fish/ski....you guys say hello if you see me!!

Jason

Isn't Eagle Mountain a hazard lake? or is there more than 1?

I'm thinking of the one in Grand Prairie

Can't eat anything out of there, have to clean your boat every single time you get out..

I don't know what you are talking about. I have been fishing the lake 45 years and never heard that about Eagle Mountain. So I would say somebody is confused to say the least. You maybe thinking about lake worth which has a consumption advisory. But most people still eat them. Check your info. it is wrong. Know all the lake officers and Game warden and they haven't heard of it either.
