After close to a year, finally made it back to Cedar Creek for some night fishing on the docks with lights.

It was a slow night, but the weather was perfect.
We managed about 6 fish, but I had 2 nice ones, a 7lb hybrid,

and later a 6lb hybrid.

The water was still muddy from the rain, and that might have had an impact. I caught them on a black and flash clouser, on my 5wt rod.

That's awesome, cc. How long did it take you to boat the big fish on your 5wt?

It took some time... but the biggest challenge at first is making sure it doesn't run into the boat dock pilings, where it can wrap around a post and break off. Once its away from the pilings, you mainly just hang on, and let it make its runs. You're pretty safe as long as a knot doesn't give, or you get impatient and try to horse it too much.

Hey Scott, are there many lighted docks on Texoma?

My wife's family has a lake house on Cedar Creek. I love fishing off their dock at night! I've caught some huge white bass, but no hybrids yet.
