Water will likely be extremely low also will be very clear. You may have to walk down a way to get to water deep enough to fish. I would go ultralight with small baits. Good luck!

I second that. Small baits, or fly-fish.

If you walk far enough though, you'll get to Lake Georgetown, where the water will be deeper :p

If you are at the park bridge that crosses over the river then head East. Follow it for about 1/4 of a mile or more. Long walk but worth it! You will come to a deep pool with an old railroad bridge that crosses over the water. It is about neck deep in the middle but you can walk along the bank on a trail that leads to a small damn. The water if very clear so you must be stealth. I saw a school of 10 bess all around 3-6lbs near the damn. Great spot! Use small topwater and small spinnerbaits. I went to Southwestern for a year and fished it 3 times a week. Keep following the river and you will come to more pools and more bass and brem. Lot of fish!! We would catch up to 20 of teenie tiny torpedos. They sell em at wal-mart.
