 Any thing beat tarpon 120 from Academy at $500 ?

Think i'm gonna buy the T120 from Academy unless some recommends a better yak for same price. Im a long time yak fisherman that just got back into it.I've had a cobra navigator ,WS120,and hurricane 14' . Wife started having big medical problems so life hit and had to take care of other things first. So i saw NTKT tourney 1 day before and just showed up with borrowed Hobie Maui..Man i had fun!! think i got 4th or 5th place(i took really bad pics ,lol)and got the old bug back!!!! any suggestions would be appreciated . Thanks all and glad to be back yak fishing!

IMO the mini X is too small. Not enough storage capacity and not long enough for covering lots of miles. But its a good boat as a spare or to play in small creeks. Once you go long you wont ever go back! That being said I love my 15'7" boat

Yeah, I have a mini-x that I bought for my kids. I've paddled it once, but I love my Pescador. It's great on the lakes and in the creeks.

Go on up to Mariner Kayaks (Sails) and they have a whole line of Perception Kayaks for that price range.
