Well I will answer my own report. The bass were not cooperating, caught one keeper Friday pm, and small ones Sat am. Pushed off from the launch sat pm and caught 3 nice ones not 30 foot from the landing. Caught 35 white perch and about 10 sand bass Sat. nite and ran out of shiners when the bite started picking up. I will get them next time. lake level is falling about 2 - 3 inches per day. Water is in good shape and the grass was plentiful on the south end. Beware as some buoys are way out of line due to slack in the lines from low water.

They say to always stay to the windward side of the bouys when water is low as they will be blown off center and maybe over a stump.
Last time I was there, it was only 5' low. Understand it's going on down to 164' which is 8' low!

Toledo Bend, is about 7 feet low as of today. I am a shallow water fisherman, and it kills my favorite spots. eeks

The launch at 6 Mile is still going but will be down to one side in a week or two. the Lake level yesterday was 165.42. Rumours are the SRA plans to go to 163. Needless to say we are making plans to work on the ramp. This weekend is the full moon so I am hot to trot to get back up there!

White Oak boat launch will be good no matter how shallow the water gets so will Fin-N-Feather. Ive launched at Six Mile with the lake level at 163, the concrete does need to be extended.

One thing low water does is open up new fishing areas, water that was 30 deep and hard to fish is now 23. Get your map out and look for humps, ridges, or under water points that were 30 to 35 deep.

Get the Texas Rigs/Carolina Rigs and head offshore guys.
