Dont ask me why, boredom I guess, but I recently looked at some of the major boat manufacturer's plants on google maps. Just curious. Interesting to see all of the molds and other equipment laying around the yards. I am not a neat freak by no means and I am not gonna mention any names, I will let you look for yourself. But some of these yards, look like Chernobyl. Interesting that the Triton plant looked like it was completely shut down in Tennessee as there are no vehicles or boats anywhere. Not a "must see" by any means, just google the mfg. physical address and type it into google maps if you are curious.

Sorry fouz, says the page is empty when I click the link. I do see employment at the top of the page so I will assume that perhaps there was a major layoff at Triton or perhaps they shut the plant completely down for a while when that satellite photo was taken.

Try the new link. Triton closed that plant.

Yes, I do know some parts of Google maps are older than others. Some are as recent as 2 monts ago. I know if you look at a map of Sam Rayburn, it is split in times it was taken. Everything to the north of caney creek and west of veach basin has new satellite imagery (water levels are extremely low (10-12 foot low) whereas the south end of the lake shows it about 5 or 6 foot low. Some images are date back up to 12 years.

Triton got moved over to Arkansaw when Platinum Equities took over. I think that is the jist of Fouz's link.
