A 8hp four stroke Honda WOOO HOOO 8hp !!!! Sorry being a smart a$$ on that one. Bet its a 80hp!
Welcome to the forum. Ray Roberts seems to be a strange place to fish and no one seems to want to talk about it. Me myself well from the bank I have not got any good fish at all.

Wheather it's 8 or 80 doesn't matter. Roberts is a good lake and about to get better. Lots of good places to fish near Buck Creek or Pecan Creek ramps including the bridges. Winter fishing there is tough so that may be part of the problem.
Spring thru fall is great. If a guide is in the budget try Cliff Spindle, he's the best. If not just keep at it. Lots of brushpiles to fish, if you have a gps I can give you the co-ord's for them.
Good luck, call me if I can help with advise.

Willing to share the coordinates, that says it all. Watched your video on crappie fishing, very good info. Keep up the good support. BTW, hope your son is doing better.

an 8 hp honda is more believable than an 80 hp on a 14 ft jon boat. just sayin

We had been laughed at by the bass fisherman in their brand new nitro just minutes before... Couldnt even get them to bring us a damn scale lols

If you can get up to Indian Creek around the 922 bridge start fishing around trees working deep to shallow.
I guarantee you will catch Crappie.
You may not fill up a cooler but you will catch a few and with a couple of trips experience up there you just might fill up two coolers.
If you can't catch a crappie in Indian Creek from March through June you can't catch them anywhere.

I believe there is a lake map of Ray Roberts with all 5o something Corp brush piles marked with waypoints, if those are the piles you speak of. I have the same problem carrbrandon88. I use to fish bass tournaments and now I just fish. Have had no luck at all finding good crappie on ray bob. I would love those brush pile co-ords !!!

+ 1 Ernest, I used to catch a lot of crappie in a 12ft old flat bottom boat that leaked and a 8hp motor.
