I have no problems with the user designations as they are now, but it does seem kinda redundant since they only indicate # of posts, and the # of posts are there to read anyway.
Congrats on a smooth software change-over.
TFF ROCKS!

There is no other fishing site that I've come across in years past which provides a more diverse cross-section of knowledge-based talent and avid fishing bubba's than the Texas Fishing Forum. By being a fisherperson, each one of you automatically possess the talent it takes to become a mentor, a famous fishing personality, a most sought-after story-teller, a successful outdoor writer, let alone a better fisherman. Passing the torch is important to our youngster's. There is no better carry-over sport for individuals than fishing.

JP has created a monster site and with his vision, it has become not only a Texas icon but a national library of fishing excellence thanks to all of you who participate on the TFF.

Together, let's make 2004 the best fishing adventure yet!

Rock on, JP!

I could not agree with you more redfin. If it were not for several persons on this site, I would not have near the amount of knowledge I possess now, and I'm still learning everyday.
I pulled in seven fish last summer, all over five pounds due to the knowledge of fishing the breaklines. How'd I learn this??...Listening and reading on the TFF.
Long live the TFF!!!

J.P. I am trying to update my profile and I get this message. The date you provided does not seem to be valid. It may be a date in the future or a date that does not exist. Please ensure that you have filled out the form correctly. Any suggestions? I changed the date on my computer to match the server date and time with no luck.

CB327,

Go back and update your profile, but insert your birthday in the field that requires it. I got the same error message.

Hey J.P., don't you think Roadrunner deserves a handle like Fishing Guru, Bass Slayer, Big Bass on Fork Finder, or simply...BiggestbassinTexasMAN

Anyway, just a little lobbying for Larry to get a famous name.
Hope you don't mind Larry:)

JC,

I agree. Someone who has really done something spectacular like catch the biggest TFF tournament fish should have a special title like "TFF Big Bass" and "TFF Big Striper".

That would be wayyyyyy cool... laugh

Hooker,

Well, as of recently the TFF is only holding bass and striper tournaments. If JP wants to cover all the bases regardless of tournament sponsorships, then that's ok, too. Only using the bass and striper as an example since those are the only TFF tournaments being held.

I can see it now...Hooker, TFF Big Flathead...errr, TFF Big Appalossa laugh laugh

Or how about Redfin, Real Crappie laugh laugh

I'm just glad the new designations don't reflect how our fishing days go. Last weekend, I was an Angler Extreme! laugh laugh laugh This weekend, I do believe Green Horn would be more accurate. rolleyes

I do dig the changes--especially the fact that I can see what the most recent post is and the person who posted it--very nice. I only discovered the TFF last spring, but it has given me lots of knowledge, laughs, and several new friends. Thanks for all you guys do to make this site a daily addiction for me!
