Had a very bad day but had some great clients.Johnny Silva and his sons. Caught a few fish but clients have a free trip coming .I knew it had to happen but that is the first one. Saw a couple of guys who got on a little school and did pretty good but outside of that it was sorry. The lake is still screwed up. A lot of the fish I am cleaning are spawned out. Water temp 69.

We didn't do too good either. Caught enough for dinner tonight. But still as they always say even a bad day fishing is better than any day at work.

Happens to everybody. Hubbard was messed up till yesterday.

They had enough for a fish fry for his family but
it's a good thing his family isn't any bigger.yeah Paul it happens to everybody but it still don't feel good when it does.But it does keep you humble. Did see a lot of the Eagle Mountain regulars today. Good to see everybody . But I still hate weekends.

I am a avid bass fisherman that sold his boat. This is my first guide trip ever. Johnny is upfront and honest he told me the night before we might not do very well,they were letting water out,the lake was muddy up north and that he has been out for a week straight stuggling to catch them,etc. He was personable and quite honest it was a great day on the water. The focus was on my kids who I wanted them to catch a mess of fish they had a great time and I would definatley book again with Johnny. He even cleaned the fish for us! - Thanks again.

Glad to see you also Johnny, Definately a butt whooping for my boat today also. Spent pretty much 4 hours running and searching. Told my group about noon that they had another trip coming, called it quits little before 1pm. After i talked to you, didnt find anything at all.

Its never a bad day fishing

I think most of us agree that it sucked today.
Yeah I played softball with Sam for 30 years . I also knew Frank ,Sam's younger bother who passed away at a young age of cancer. Frank was also a pitcher. Small world. In fact next saturday is our yearly softball renuion.

I got enough for a meal but it was just random and light bites... I agree weekend ends suck with all the rude a$$pleasure boaters and the tie up crowd.. I had some jet ski run right over a spot i was jigging up on the north end.. As you can tell I was thrilled.. Hopefully the water will clear up this week..

Same here for me at Cedar Creek. I fished 4 hrs Friday morning and caught 3 fish!

It was without my toughest day in a while. We (me,wife,and son) caught 50...kept 37, and every single fish I cleaned this evening were spawned out.

We pretty much hopped from hump to hump and managed a decent mess thanks to a fellow TFF'r(KarlJ) late in the day who shared a nice school on a mid lake ridge just south of the island about 3:00pm.

I sure hope the fish quit cuddling(post spawn) on the bottom and become more active in the weeks to come as I am trying to get my 5 year old more interested, but days like today sure make it tough.

BAD NEWS........I GOT MY SPARE TIRE STOLEN OFF MY BOAT TRAILER AT WEST BAY TODAY.
