Yeah ESF, if you're towing a 21' boat over long distances like that, you probably should stick with a full size truck. With a smaller boat and/or shorter distances, I'd be a little more comfortable moving to a medium/small SUV. But I'd be nervous about doing it considering your situation.

Yeah, stay with a 4-door pickup. The tranny's in the Explorers are a little to light duty for that.

Thanks guys....I've located a good used F150...I think I'm goimg with it...2011 with 1800 miles crew cab FX2...
