We have been doing decent, caught about 20 keepers today. Warning though, they're a couple of pricks out there that you need to watch out for while fishing. One in particular runs to the marina and tells on you like a little girl. If you're catching fish and he isn't he becomes an 8 year old and tells on you for fishing out of your slip and threatened to punch one of my buddies in the face. Of course he left after the staff told him we were no problem. What's wrong with people? Fishing is supposed to be fun!!

Glad someone is catching some keepers out there. For me, Keepers been few and far between since the water came up. Bummer about the non-catcher. I never have any trouble out there.

Aren't slips private property? Don't think you can walk up and down the marina docks and fish every brushed slip without written permission. Not sure I'm right, but I think that is the marina rule at our marina. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

The marinas I fish have rules against brushing a slip. If you do brush one everyone will fish it right along with all the others.

At Scotts Landing the slips are private so you can't tie up to them but you can fish them. Watch out though... a number of owners sink lines at the opening so you will lose your bait and possibily your catch.

This particular marina has no problem with us fishing the marina. Just some people get jealous when they see you catching fish and they aren't. Oh well... can't please everyone.

Yeah, me and buzzard sat out there a couple hours tonight, I didn't even get a bite. He caught 2 or 3 dinks before I got there.

All slips are private but it's public waters. If I'm in your slip and you don't want me there I completely understand. But if I'm fishing anywhere else it's none of your business.

At our marina, Coach Hark, you cannot stand on the dock and fish someone's slip without written permissiom---it is the marina's rule.

Which Marina's have a rule that you can only fish your own slip?...I have fished most of them in this area and I have never encountered this rule...That includes marina's on GV, Lewisville and Texoma that I have been part of a slip...Common courtesy to those that apply their own rule of exclusivity to their own slip of course, but it doesn't apply to all slips that one may feel they have under their personal jurisdiction just because they have one slip on a particular arm...

At least in my experiences and opinion...
