 Fished CC for the first time this year

Started off on some weeds sticking up in 18" of water and caught a 2 pounder on the 1st drop down. Then it was short males one after another with a few keepers. When we moved down the shore to the next weed, I dipped my jig in open water, about 5 feet deep and got slammed hard by another 2 pound plus fish. Open water, 5' deep with a gravel bottom was the ticket. Fished no more than a 60 yard stretch of shore line, caught 2 limits in 2 1/2 hours. Only kept the fish that was over 11". I should kept count of the throw backs. Box shot  Chop shop shot  Hot spot

Out-STANDING Puller! Got a few craw traps on order...looking forward to "seeing"...was it a cove or a creek and what was the magical color? From the looks of things you are THOUROGHLY enjoying the spring so far...

I was out at that KCKL bass tournament this weekend. We gave up on bass and went crappie fishing instead. We didn't catch neither. What gives? I have been driving 50 miles to that lake and just can't seem to get on them at all. Just a couple on the bridges is all.
