I think it has already happened. The white bass run up white rock creek all the way to Greenville Avenue, where a dam at the Royal Oaks country club creates ideal spawning grounds. I got a report today that the water temp between Fair Oaks and Greenville is as high as 74 degrees. I firmly believe that the run took place very early as we had no winter and or freezes of any significance. Since the bite was so slow at WRC this yr, it did not attract the crowds it normally does, so most of us, if not all of us, missed it.
Just my $.02 worth.
In years past, the run has been just flat out tremendous! Either that or the gill netters had a banner winter on white bass!

that still is a really cool place to fish up there by greenville ave...water is clear and lots of good sight fishing for bass...just ignore all the trash and bend a rod.

went last Sunday, figured i was a little late. As Rudy said, surface water temps were as high as 74 in some spots. I did see lots of bass paired up. I caught one really nice fish pictured below.

They spawned in Feb for three weeks and left. I never saw them again. Not a big run at all this year. The main schools seem to be getting smaller. They used to boil all the time main lake. I have not seen them do that in awhile...

I wonder if any of the illegal netting in the past caused problems.
