I dont know how other site fishermen feel but being an avid site fisher:

I dont care where you go, in front of me, behind me or where ever. I dont even care if
you drop your anchor in my boat and get in. I dont care, I encourage you to keep fishing
as you would. I only ask ONE THING - Dont spook this fish.

A few years ago I was at Fork and site fishing. I found two fish way in the back of a cove and was pitching at them. There were a few other boats around and one of them with a couple of young boys ( 18-25 ) started coming toward me. I caught the male and released him behind the boat. That fish was 4.3#. I told my brother who was in his boat a little ways off that the female was at least twice that size. Well those two boys kept getting closer and closer. They were coming at the fish from the opposite side I was on. When they got within about 10' of the fish, I told them that if they spooked that fish I was going to be more than a little upset. They said they just wanted to see the fish but took the hint and trolled off back the way they had come. I told them that when I caught the fish they were more than welcome to see it. I caught the fish on the next cast and told them now they could look. They just kept going without looking back. The fish weighed 9# and I had been working on her for almost an hour before she bit. If I see some one working a fish I always give them a wide berth so I do not spook the fish they are after.

Amazing to me that so many folks claim they are "site" fishing!

site = location

sight = visual (by seeing)

At least this was the case way back when I was in school and evidently at least a little of that education was absorbed!

Check it in any dictionary!

No way would I horn in on someone who is sight fishing; but many times I've watched guys working a fish, then finally give up and move on after which I go by where they were to check it out and wind up catching the fish that had them frustrated.

Your catching bedding fish in the spring . It doesn't matter if you see them or not. And thats a ridiculous statement. freak
