Thanks "Tun3R". Fred said he needed to get a big Longear for the contest because he figured you may be hitting the Salado or Cibolo. He posted his first 7" Longear right from the bank in Bracketville. That creek is loaded with big Longear.

You're making me homesick now, with this and the Amistad lake post. I was born and raised in Del Rio and have many fond memories of fishing that area. Did you visit the San Felipe Springs? You can see the HUGE bass and Bluegill swimming in the crystal clear water. Thanks for sharing.
Mark 6:31-32 He said unto them "Come with me to a quiet place and get some rest. So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place"

"BoneyStringers": I love fishing the Delrio, Bracketville area. Those spring fed waters are hard to beat. That whole area is very relaxing to say the least. We drove by the San Felipe Springs behind the Delrio Golf Course but could not find any place to fish. Once it warms up I plan to fish Amistad for some serious Blue Gills.

Nice catch guys. Really like the colors on those fish. How far of a drive is that from SA? That creek really looks full.

Thanks "Dhogdog" for the reply. It is about a 3 hour drive taking your time from San Antonio to Bracketville. Hwy 90 west all the the way.

Those West Texas Longear are big. Nice catch guys and a super job. Thanks for sharing. Side Note: Fort Clark holds a lot of history. Would love to make a trip out there just to look around.

Thanks "Gitter for the reply. The fort is one of the most relaxing places to fish. Also like you said it is rich with history. There are several historical markers throughout the fort. General Patton lived on the fort years back.

Hey Chuck. Does that creek run through the whole fort or just certain portions?

The creek runs throughout the whole fort. It is pretty shallow in most places. Bracketville and the Delrio area could really use some rain.
