Curious to see if anyone had an update. The radar looked like it was dropping some much needed H2O yesterday...

Looks like it came up a bunch last week.

I haven't been on that lake in years, is there any grass in it?

Anyone been out since the rain earlier in the week? If so, what's the water clarity like?

I haven't been in a couple of years, but when I lived in Nacogdoches that lake was notorious for staying muddy a couple of weeks after a big runoff rain.

I drove out there at lunch today and it looks to be about 4'+low. There were some people putting in on the east ramp, but most were still on the west side. Even for a Thursday, there was a full parking lot. Water, even at the ramp, was really stained.

The water has come up over 6 feet since the beginning of March, and another foot since this thread was started. We are currently just a little less than 3 feet below pool. All of the weeds and bushes that grew up over the last year are now flooded. Tons of little fish and frogs in the flooded weeds. Wind has been out of the North to East direction the last few days so the water off any banks facing that direction are quite muddy from the wave action on the loose dry dirt. I haven't taken the temperature in a while, but the water seemed pretty warm wading around the shore last night.

Preparation may be the key to success, but unless you have a line in the water you aren't going to catch anything.
