I have a camp on, and primarily fish fork and can tell you, you can never go wrong with electric chicken, shad or blue/chart this time of year, and purple/chart, black/chart in the summer months when fishing deeper.

I live about 5 minutes from Ray Hubbard and never fish that lake. Well,, that's about to change thanks to our ever rising gas prices!! I am hoping that some of you guys that fish Hubbard regularly will help me out on Hubbards "go-to" jig colors this time of year and into the summer months. I have been out there 2 times over the last 2 weeks and have caught a grand total of 2 fish(I am trying to fish where they ought to be right now, anywhere from 1'-12', reeds and rip rap)!! I have been using my fork colors and minnows. Can ya'll help man out?

The same colors will work, but I love all Black! I don't know why, but it always works. Also, send me a PM, and I will try and give you some more pointers.

A lot of people use something with pink in it. White/chart black/chart are always good

It depends on which part of the lake you are fishing. The right wing section does better with the patriotic red, white and blue colors. The left wing section of the lake does better with red and to get them really biting then add on a hammer and sickle spinner to your rig.

I've heard a good trick is match the color with the water clarity like murky water go dark and clear water go white and so on and I usually prove myself right when i watch the Bill Dance Show!
