If the rod is gonna be for jigs only I would go with a 7'6/7'10 heavy extra fast.

You have to get the length that fits YOU and YOUR style. If the rod is too long, you can't roll cast it,and the bait may hit the water, depending on high your deck is above the water. I Pitch it 1,000 times every fishing day,and I pitch a 6'6" rod. I use FC line.

Depending on what type of cover you are fishing and your height...u dont want a rod too long for your application..7.0mh will work fine for everyday applications

I am one of the most clueless worm guys on here, but I own far too many rods just trying to learn how to fish. So, I buy a lot of rods, reels, thinking they might help me!! With that said, I love my Vendetta and I just bought a Veritas, 7' medium heavy, combined it with my Revo, and man I love it. Plus for $99 it's a pretty good deal, at Academy and BPS.

At least 7 foot, with some backbone. At least medium/heavy.

I would go with a medium heavy or heavy rod in the 7' to 7'6" range. Just depends on what you are doing. To me a flipping/pitching rod is different from a casting rod. If you can only have one rod and line combo to fish your jigs, I would go with a 7' medium heavy fast action P. H. Kellner - Quality Custom Fishing Rod with Micro-Guides. And I almost always use fluorocarbon. You will be happy.

I use a 733 Champion right now for my jig rod because it's what I have on deck and I like it, but really think I would prefer a 735 or 735 and will probably buy one pretty soon
