I saw a guy mount one with some big a$$ drywall screws... Good news was it was securely mounted! Bad news was the entire boat was securely mounted to the trailer... Screwed the boat right to the bunk board on the trailer... Tip #1 make sure you dont mount it with 4 deck screws right Bob hammer

I would think you could google the brand and model number and maybe find the installation manual online at the manufacturers site.

sexyshad, the link provided above is a very good resource. If you are still having trouble, contact T-H Marine (we make the HOT FOOT throttle) either by phone 256-772-0164, or go to our website and use the "contact us" form, we can send you installation instructions via fax or email. And our tech support folks will be glad to help you with questions. Enjoy your HOT FOOT and good fishing!

I glassed in a piece of 3/4" marine plywood (any would work, had that already)to the deck. used 1 1/4" #12 stainless screws and made double sure I was no where near the hull. make dbl sure you have your distance set right, too close and you will get cramps, too far and its a pain too. leave your old hand throttle cable and just tuck out of the way so if something happens you can rehook and go, if not you will idle all the way back to the ramp.
