Just started pouring my own jig heads and was wondering how to clean the lead so that it is clean and with out any burrs. I've been using a piece of sandpaper and cleaning them that way but it very time consuming. Any help is appreciated.

I use a utility knive and drag the blade across the burr.

Or an old pocket knife will work. Don't need it real sharp, be careful.

Thanks for all the feed back. The utility knife worked great. This has become very additive. Have already spent well over $300, just to get started tying my own jigs but that first crappie I caught off of one of my own creations was well worth it. hope to catch a few more in the morning. Wait it is morning isn't it.

I have learned that if you twist off the excess rather than cutting it you have very little to no clean up.
