Owner. Strike kings roll over too much. Spot remover hook is trash.

Scott Clawson's football shakey.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

I just switched to big bite after using spot removers for years. I have doubled my hookups, and the screw on spring keeps shaky worms on for an extra fish or two. Also, they are less expensive than others. I use 1/8 oz mostly.

I dumped the spot removers due to crappy hooks would straighten on quality fish.

I switched to Joey Watt's at Flatlands custom tackle. After a year and numerous 5lb plus fish I am very pleased.

what he said!

He's on the board, Lvillerat. I can tell you his shaky heads work. The fish in my sig pic came on one of his. Best bang for the buck, plus you can't hardly find ones for sale like his.

I throw it on a spinning rod with 20 lb braid and 15 lb invisx leader, and have pulled some nice fish out of places you wouldn't think a shaky head on a spinning rod would do it.

These that I make myself. I use a little stouter 4/0 hook so I can fish it in heavier cover and back up under docks a bit farther. I also like Clawson's if using a football head type.

We've bought probably a couple hundred from Scott Clawson, and they are excellent. I like football heads, and his finish is great! Good hooks and screw locks complete the deal. My only problems with them are people taking them from my tackle box and fishing them where I have no business fishing them.
