We have gotten several inches of rain over the past 13 hours, and the lake is already up 10" and is now sitting at 399.38 (3.62 ft below normal pool). All of the feeder creeks around the lake are still out of their banks, so the lake will continue to rise quickly. I drove around a little bit this morning to take a look, and I took a few pictures. Here is Birch Creek from the FM 2297 bridge several miles north of the lake: Here are a couple of pics of Elm Creek from the FM 514 bridge as it enters the lake: And lastly, here is Garrett Creek from the Hwy 19 bridge. This pic really doesn't show just how far out of it's banks Garrett Creek really is.

What was it like after/during the rain Sunday before last? I'm hoping for a bigger rise this time!

There is a sasquatch in the third picture. Wish we were getting that kind of rain here. All of our lakes look bad, especially Ivie and Hubbard Creek.

It's currently rising a little more than an inch per hour. It stopped raining a little more than 2 hours ago and the creek behind my house is still out of it's banks. There is a lot of water still running into the lake and it looks like it's going to continue to rise quickly for several hours.

Who are the knuckleheads in rain gear standing on the bank in the 3rd photo? Hey the guy at the bait shop sold us 10 bags of tomato looking worms and said go to the back of the creeks.

It's currently rising 1/10th of an inch per hour. It stopped raining a little more than 2 hours ago and the creek behind my house is still out of it's banks. There is a lot of water still running into the lake and it looks like it's going to continue to rise quickly for several hours. I think you mean a 10th of a foot.... knucklehead!
Take Dead Aim I'd rather be lost on the water than found at work! SkeeterEater
