Anyone fish Caddo? If so how is the bluegill fishing there? Is March too early to catch a bunch? I want to take my Son somewhere that we can catch a bunch so he won't get bored.
Thanks.

Caddo is a great bream lake. Normally if its a warm spring around the first full moon in April is a great time. March is a little early. This storm will flood up the lake so it may be a couple of weeks before it settles down. Try around the islands and cypress breaks.

Never fished Caddo lake before. As for March being a good month for Gills. You should be finding a few of em however it will be getting better each day from now until Summer time. Fish tree lines and structure. Good luck.

I love Caddo! Going in early May and again in June to take the grandkids. Probably too early now. If you have a boat, try Sand Island, Big Green Brake, Bird Island out of Tucker's Camp.
If it's your first trip, get a good map and pay close attention to the lane markers - easy to get turned around on that lake. A GPS is handy in case you get confused.
Fish around the cypress trees - next to the islands or around individual trees. Worms are best for kids.
Enjoy and bring us a report.
